All,
I did some spring cleaning of the brewery. I will be bringing a big box of stuff, free to a good home. List is below if you want to call dibs on anything.
JP
3 - 1L blue swing top bottles
Unused yeast bank from country wines
~1lb corn sugar
bottle brush
5 - 1L mason jars, 2 with lids
3 - bags of caps, 1 is O2 absorbing
misc hoses
~17 lbs of mystery base grain, I think its pilsner malt
broken regulator with y connector and 2 valves
Long stem dial thermometer - came with turkey fryer
several cases of 12 oz and 22 oz bottles |

I'd like a 1L blue bottle and the thermometer.
Thanks. _________________ There is no strong beer - Only weak men. |

I really don't want to sound greedy but I would greatly appreciate the majority of the items that you are willing to part as I can make great use of them while still bottle conditioning hoping to soon move to forced carbonation.
I would like some 22oz bottles, a 1L blue swing top bottle, the corn sugar, pilsner malt, a bag of O2 caps, possibly some hoses, and the regulator with y and valves. |

I would like to add to the free stuff at picnic idea.
I have:
12- Belgian style 750ml cork bottles
24- P.E.T bottles
Bottle wand (used once)

| Danny, I'd like to take you up on your offer for the PET bottles. These would better my chances with my wife for making soda in the house without as much worry compared to recycled commercial plastic soda bottles. |

While for safety reasons PET is preferred for pop, in my opinion they are only good for one flavor. They absorb the first flavor and that will come through in subsequent flavors.
I use glass bottles when I make pop, except for one plastic bottle which I use as a test for being done. When the plastic bottle gets hard all bottles get put in the fridge. _________________ There is no strong beer - Only weak men. |

I never looked into PET enough to know about the flavor issue. I typically make 'dark' sodas so I'm hoping the absorbed flavor would not overpower them as they would a ginger ale or something 'light' in flavor.
Thanks for the heads up. While using recycled plastic soda bottles, I still use your bottle trick to determine when it is time for the fridge. |

MaltDaddy,
Are you still willing to part with the regulator, wye, valves, and 1 L Mason jars that you had posted a few weeks ago? If so, would you mind bringing them along to the meeting if you plan on attending? Please let me know whether you would like any money in exchange for anything. |
